Anchor Hocking has been a trusted name in American glassware for over a century. But competing in a crowded aisle against globally recognized brands required a packaging system that could flex across more than 200 SKUs while connecting with modern shoppers in the seconds they spend making a decision.
The work began with consumer research, including focus groups to unpack in-aisle behavior and test early concepts. Those insights shaped on-pack messaging hierarchy, visual anchors that conveyed quality and utility, and a photography direction that balanced approachability with elegance. The outcome was a comprehensive packaging guideline system designed to scale consistently across all product lines. The refreshed packaging supported a broader brand update and helped secure stronger placement at Walmart, Target, and Meijer.
