QuickChek
QuickChek had a long-standing reputation in the Northeast for coffee and convenience, but in a market dominated by regional giants like Wawa and Sheetz, standing out required more than reputation. The goal was a new store format that put fresh food first, attracted a younger customer base, and could scale with the brand's long-term ambitions.
The work started with firsthand competitive research, visiting top-performing convenience store brands across the Eastern U.S. to identify what worked and what QuickChek could uniquely own. Those insights shaped a redesigned store layout that brought fresh food front and center, with updated floorplans, fresh-first merchandising, and streamlined checkout zones. The brand's visual language evolved alongside the format, with updated photography, natural materials, and signage that moved QuickChek toward the aesthetic of modern, health-forward quick service without losing its convenience roots. The new store format launched to enthusiastic customer response, establishing QuickChek as a serious contender in the fresh food space and creating a blueprint for sustainable expansion.
